Free School Meals 2023/24
The daily allowance for 2023/24 is £3.00 per day. The accounts of students in receipt of free school meals are automatically credited at 11.45am each day. Please note that the allowance will not therefore be available to use at morning break (11.05am - 11.20am). If students wish to purchase items at break, additional funds can be added via Parent Pay or by paying cash to the school office. Any unspent allowance is automatically removed from the account after the lunch hour – it does not carry over to the next day.
Students are issued with a standard school lunch card in the usual way on their first day at school.
A daily 'meal deal' priced at £3.00 is available at lunch time and consists of a hot meal or sandwich/wrap and a dessert. Free tap water is always available.
Please be aware that it will be necessary to make a new application prior to the start of each new academic year as the allowance does not automatically carry over.
