We are delighted to announce that the CRHS Charity Challenge group representing the Pahar Trust Nepal finished in second place in the One World Centre Charity Challenge final on Wednesday evening. The team of five Year 12 pupils were also awarded the Advocacy Prize, winning a fantastic overall sum of £3,500 for the charity.
The students delivered a superb multimedia presentation on the fantastic work of the Pahar Trust Nepal, which helps to improve education, health and sanitation facilities for disadvantaged communities in Nepal. The presentations are judged on the following criteria; work of the charity, case study, international development, advocacy for the work of charity, and/or international development.
The team helped to raise awareness of the charity through setting up an Instagram page, supporting the school’s Christmas concert, hosting a bake sale, and speaking to local MHK Jason Moorhouse.
PTN's Executive Director, Alan Sweetman, has also expressed his sincere thanks for all their hard work in achieving this fantastic result.
