Care, Quality, Opportunity

Thursday, 26th September, is going to be the European Day of Languages. We are going to try to celebrate the day with some displays, games and an interesting challenge booklet (“Handbook of Languages Challenges”) that can be collected from the MFL or Mrs Elvezia’s office by students who are interested in taking part in the challenge.

There are 51 challenges to be completed during this academic year. If you would like to see a copy of them, please check the link below….. Maybe you can also challenge yourself and see if you can complete all (well ok some of) the tasks?

We’re also organising two film screenings after school on that day:

Afternoon, at 4 pm, for school students, finishing at 5.45pm: Whale Ryder: “A contemporary story of love, rejection and triumph as a young Maori girl fights to fulfil a destiny her grandfather refuses to recognize” PG, Languages: English, Maori

Evening for parents, students, families from 7pm to 9.15pm: Our Sister: “A story that revolves around three sisters who live in their grandmother's home and the arrival of their thirteen-year-old half sister” PG, Languages: Japanese with English subtitles “
