The VillaGaiety was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as a record-breaking number of young people from the Isle of Man gathered to receive their well-deserved Duke of Edinburgh Awards on Wednesday. The evening was filled with joy and pride as over 150 students were presented with their Bronze and Silver certificates by Malcolm Kelly, one of the first ever recipients of this prestigious award.

The outstanding achievements of Castle Rushen High School students were particularly noteworthy, as they recorded an impressive 35 bronze and 14 silver awards. The school's commitment to excellence and dedication to cultivating well-rounded individuals has clearly paid off, as evidenced by the exceptional performance of its students.

A further cause for celebration was the recognition of 9 gold award students, who will receive their certificates and badges in a grand ceremony at the Governor's House in a couple of months' time. This is a testament to their unwavering perseverance and commitment to achieving the highest standards of excellence in all that they do.

The photos attached are a testament to the sheer joy and sense of achievement felt by those who were able to attend the ceremony on the night. We congratulate all of the students who received their Duke of Edinburgh Awards and wish them all the best in their future endeavors as they continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.
