Some of our Year 12 Maths students participated in the Maths Symposium competition held at Ramsey Grammar School.

They were treated to a talk about how maths led to an accidental career in space science. It is so helpful for our students to hear real life examples of where their subjects can take them in life.

The students then completed a set of warm up challenges ahead of the main competition, the KS5 Maths Challenge.

CRHS fielded two teams, one of which came joint third out of 13 teams. They were only surpassed by Ballakermeen who had a strong event, taking the three top spots.

The students were a credit to themselves and the school and really came together as a team. They worked together to solve some extremely tough riddles, puzzles and problems; their podium spot was very well deserved!

Underpinning everything we do at CRHS is our Head, Heart, Hands philosophy, aimed helping our students develop their knowledge, character and transferable skills, preparing them for their next steps in life. The Maths Symposium tested all three and it was a fantastic, enriching experience for our students.
