For the first time in its history, the school entered students into the competition, where participants are tasked with designing advertising campaigns for local companies such as Isle Listen, Jackson's Motor Mall, Quick Fit Super Centre & The Buzz. Competing against hundreds of others from schools across the island, CRHS students brought home awards which showcase their creativity and business acumen.

The competition provides students with a hands-on opportunity to engage with real-world advertising challenges. Each participating student collaborates with local companies to develop creative and impactful promotional materials. This initiative not only highlights young talent but also strengthens the bond between schools and the local business community.

Tom won in his category with his Graphic Design work for Jackson's Motor Mall. Phelim & Alex were highly commended for their designs for Isle Listen and Quick Fit Supercentre. Their graphic design teacher Miss Dickinson commented, “Students produced their designs alongside completing their GCSE work, this is very difficult to do and demonstrates a drive for success”. Emily highly commended on her design for The Buzz. Miss Dickinson hopes Emily’s success will encourage her to enter the competition next year.

Castle Rushen’s inaugural participation was met with enthusiasm and determination. Their efforts culminated in recognition for their outstanding work, with judges praising their innovative ideas. Hon Daphne Caine MHK Minster for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture was in attendance and took the time to view and congratulate our students.

We would also like to congratulate our year 7 students who were entered by their primary schools. We look forward to seeing more from them in the coming years.
