This year we have seen a huge uptake for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, with CRHS students completing their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.
Mr Watt, DofE Leader said, ‘Castle Rushen students have made an outstanding effort to complete not only their expeditions, but also the volunteering, physical, skills and residential aspects of the awards, which make an important contribution to both our local community and our students’ personal growth. They should be very proud of their achievements.’
This year, 96 students have completed their expeditions so far, 48 at Bronze, 25 at Silver, and 23 at Gold. We recently also had several of last year’s Gold cohort receive their awards at Government House and we were proud to see that CRHS students made up 50% of the awardees presented this year.
This has been an excellent year for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme at Castle Rushen High School. Well done to all.
