Last week the 2nd Rainbow Scouts from Skills Centre 3 were invited by the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Natalie Byron-Teare, to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and Council Chamber for afternoon tea.
The students were given a guided tour and learned about what Douglas Borough Council do to help people. The students also got to have a go of speaking on the microphones in the Council Chamber and got to hold and wear some of the mayoral regalia.
It was a wonderful afternoon and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
