Castle Rushen High School

Care • Quality • Opportunity

Yesterday saw us compete in the Inter-Schools Athletics Tournament for Years 7 and 8 at the National Sports Centre Athletics Track.

In total, we had 55 students taking part in across all the events, which saw Castle Rushen come out as winners in both the Boys' and Girls' categories!

Years 7 and 8 Boys came first with 466 points, with second place going to Ramsey Grammar School with 370 points.

Years 7 and 8 Girls came first with 315 points, with Queen Elizabeth II High School coming a close second with 308 points.

The students were a credit to themselves, and to the school, during the course of what was a warm afternoon at the NSC. They were constantly encouraging their peers, giving them the energy to get over the line at times - very well done to all involved!

Thank you to the NSC for hosting us, to Ballakermeen High School for organising, and to the volunteers from Isle of Man Athletics without whom the events couldn't go ahead.
