The CRHS PE Department is proud to share that our students have raised £310 for the Craig's Heartstrong Foundation, an incredible charity which enables heart screening for men and women between the ages of 14 and 35 in the Isle of Man.
This screening detects any possible symptoms of Hypertrophic and Dilated Cardiomyopathy and thus helps prevent Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS). As well as this, the foundation provides lifesaving defibrillator machines to schools, sports clubs and offices around the island.
In December, the PE department ran a Christmas fundraising week with festive themed bench ball and dodge ball games for a suggested £1 donation.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and supported this fantastic cause, your generosity will make a real difference. We would also like to thank Paul Healey and Luke Murray from Craig's Heartstrong Foundation for visiting the school to receive our donation.
