Computer Science Transition work.

Transition information for Computer Science

Go to the codacademy website and work your way through the tutorials on Java (not JavaScript). Java instructions use similar operators and syntax to the C# programming that you will be doing as part of the A level.

Keep your eye on the news for computer/IT related stories. Collect copies of interesting articles.

If students haven’t done Computer Science at GCSE then they should borrow a GCSE text book and read through some of the chapters about the processor, storage, memory and number representations. BBC Bitesize is another tool that can be used to read up on some of the information covered.
